1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Partners for Rural Impact ("PRI") website and Rural Movement Portal (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and contributors.
2. Account Registration
To access the Rural Movement Portal, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify PRI immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account
- You must provide a valid email address
- You may not create accounts for others without their consent
- You may not share your account credentials with others
3. Permitted Use
The Platform is provided for the purpose of supporting rural community leaders, organizations, and partners in accessing training, community networking, data resources, grant opportunities, and related professional development tools. You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes consistent with this mission.
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or its systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or its infrastructure
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- Harvest, scrape, or collect user data without authorization
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Use the Platform to distribute spam, unsolicited messages, or promotional materials
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform
4. User Content
You may submit content to the Platform through community discussions, profiles, and other interactive features. You retain ownership of content you create, but grant PRI a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your content within the Platform for the purpose of operating and improving the service.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit. Content must not be defamatory, obscene, threatening, infringing on intellectual property rights, or otherwise objectionable. PRI reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
5. Third-Party Services
The Platform integrates with and links to third-party services including StriveTogether (Docebo), RuralTogether (Circle), the Center on Rural Innovation (CORI), and the Community Funding Accelerator (CFA). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. PRI is not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party services.
6. Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its design, code, graphics, logos, text, and other content created by PRI, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on PRI's proprietary content without our express written permission.
Documents, resources, and training materials provided through the Platform are shared for professional use by registered users. Redistribution or commercial use of these materials without authorization is prohibited.
7. Data and County Information
County-level data provided through the CORI Data Dashboard is sourced from publicly available federal data sets including the American Community Survey, FCC Broadband Data, and State Education Agencies. While we strive for accuracy, PRI does not guarantee the completeness or timeliness of this data. Data should be used for informational and planning purposes and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for decision-making.
8. Grant Information
Grant listings on the Platform are provided for informational purposes. PRI does not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or eligibility criteria of grant opportunities. Users are responsible for verifying all grant information with the issuing agency before submitting applications. PRI is not a grantmaking organization and does not process grant applications through the Platform.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. PRI DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR LOSS OF BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, EVEN IF PRI HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
11. Account Termination
PRI reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately, and we may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Madison County, Kentucky.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or via email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
