Who can join The Rural Portal?
Anyone doing work that touches rural young people — school and district staff, nonprofit and community organisation teams, library staff, funders, county and state agency staff, and partners across the Partners for Rural Impact network.
Does it cost anything?
No. The portal is free to join and free to use.
Do I have to work with Partners for Rural Impact already?
No. An existing partnership is not a requirement — the portal is open to rural practitioners and allies wherever they are working.
Which counties does the data cover?
Every county in the United States. Indicators come from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey five-year estimates, CDC PLACES, and FCC broadband data.
Can I compare more than one county?
Yes. You can hold a county up against its state average, the national average, and up to four other counties at the same time, and save the counties you work across so they are waiting for you next time.
