When you register for an account, we collect your first name, last name, email address, and password. You may also voluntarily provide your county, state, and areas of professional interest during onboarding.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Platform, including pages visited, features used, search queries, courses accessed, grants viewed, and community interactions. This data helps us improve the Platform and personalize your experience.

Device and Technical Data

We collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and referring URLs. This data is used for security, analytics, and Platform optimization.

  • To create and manage your account on the Rural Movement Portal
  • To provide access to training courses, community discussions, grant resources, county data, and document libraries

The Platform integrates with third-party partner services to provide comprehensive resources for rural leaders. These partners include:

  • StriveTogether / Docebo - Training and professional development courses
  • RuralTogether / Circle - Community discussion and networking
  • Center on Rural Innovation (CORI) - County-level data and indicators
  • Community Funding Accelerator (CFA) - Grant and funding opportunity data
  • Supabase - Authentication and data storage
  • Vercel - Platform hosting and delivery

Each partner maintains their own privacy policies. When you access partner features through the Portal, you may be subject to their privacy practices. We encourage you to review those policies.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With partner service providers as necessary to deliver Platform features
  • With your consent or at your direction
  • To comply with legal requirements, court orders, or governmental requests
