Rural Youth Leaders

Rural Youth Leaders is a collaborative initiative rooted in place, culture, and the power of youth leadership. Launched in partnership with Clear Creek Creative, the program invests in creative young people and the cultural stewards who support them in rural communities. Participants receive funding, mentorship, and the opportunity to lead a community project of their own design.

How It Works

Rural Youth Leaders brings together community teams from across rural America, each consisting of two emerging leaders, a cultural steward, and a nominating organization. Together, teams receive leadership development grounded in creative arts and cultural traditions, project guidance, stipends, and access to a growing national network of peers and partners.
